Thirteenth film: American Graffiti, which I had no idea was a Coppola/Lucas producer/director deal. Look. It’s fine. Set in California in the early 1960s, the cars are outstanding. The cast is incredible. The soundtrack is superb. Harrison Ford’s dimples go right the way through his face and out the other side. But the film is just… there. It’s about teenagers who drive around aimlessly, and the plot and feel emulates them seamlessly. It never gets out of second gear, and if I had the opportunity to watch it again I’d fast-forward through all the bits without Han Solo in them. Not bitchin’. Not boss. Two souped-up Deuce Coupes out of five.
