Thirty-second film: Being John Malkovich. Once you drink the seven-and-a-halfth-floor-portal-into-John-Malkovich’s-mind Kool-Aid, there’s just nothing not to love about this brilliant, delightful goddamn movie. John Cusack is impossible not to like in most things and even impossibler here, Cameron Diaz is believably and endearingly drab in a wig inspired by me letting my hair dry naturally, Catherine Keener is bloody perfection at all times forever, and this whole thing is just an excuse to let you know that once I was at the same dinner party as John Malkovich and he laughed when I said his name with a Kiwi accent. But still. How good is this frikkin’ movie. Four and three-quarter seven and a halfth floors out of five.
